COMPENSATION

$22 to $26 Hourly (BASED ON EXPERIENCE)

 

EMPLOYMENT TYPE

Full time, 30 to 40 hrs. per week

EnviroAir Systems is looking for an experienced HVAC qualified installer and technician for our Tampa Location and surrounding areas.

  

PURPOSE/KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for the proper cleaning, remediation and replacement of residential and commercial HVAC air duct systems and air conditioning equipment. You'll complete projects independently or with other technicians. You'll need to communicate regularly with the customer while carrying out successful jobs.

Crew Leaders must be responsible, reliable, have a good work ethic and good customer service skills. 

HVAC TOOLS REQUIRED

  1. Basic set of hand tools (magnetized)

  2. Cordless drill

  3. Head lamp

  4. PVC cutter

  5. Refrigerant tubing cutter

  6. Torch set

  7. Multimeter/Voltmeter

  8. Manometer

  9. Nitrogen regulator

  10. Service gauges

  11. Vacuum pump

  12. Recovery machine

  13. Refrigerant scale

  14. Pipe bender

  15. Swaging tool kit

  16. Dolly

  17. Small shop vac

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

  • 3+ years of experience as an HVAC technician and AC changeouts

  • 1 year in lead position (preferred)

  • EPA 608 Universal Certification required

  • ASCS/VSMR certification (preferred)

  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal

  • Must have own HVAC required tools (see below) for the trade or willing to acquire them

  • Must be able to pass a background check

  • Willing to work Saturdays and out of town as necessary

  • Ability to handle a physical workload

  • Must be service oriented, a problem solver and have pride in workmanship

  • Able to run a crew while completing the job

  • Ability to consult on customer complaints and offer beneficial solutions.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Employees employed for this position must be able to perform the essential functions of the job without imposing significant risk or substantial harm to the health and safety of themselves and others

  • The position requires lifting up to 65 pounds alone and over 85 pounds with additional assistance

  • Ability to drive, move in and out of vehicles, climb ladders, traverse steps or rafter beams in attics and move through a facility as required

  • Able to wear respirator while working

  • May work on roofs, in attics, crawl spaces and other confined spaces

  • Must work with chemicals and in dirty conditions.

SCHEDULING

  • Monday through Friday 7:00am – 6:00pm (Season Dependent)

  • Occasional weekend and evenings

  • Occasional out-of-town and overnight travel
